The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway for Trainz:
The Final Spike (Continued)
By John D'Angelo
The Celebration Continues

There was a round of applause as we all looked at the monument and then I received a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Franklin Prestage standing there and he was actually smiling! He smiled at us and said:
“Jolly good, chaps! Jolly good. You are a long way from 1879, when I started building the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, but you have captured the moment well. Excellently done!”
Well done, indeed. I take my hat off to all of you who worked so hard to bring the Trainz Darjeeling Himalayan Railway to completion.
After the celebration, we all climbed back into the train that Peter built, and continued north, laughing and clinking our glasses all the way to Darjeeling.

In addition I wish to thank Benoy Thapa, who lives in Darjeeling, for supplying us with his beautiful pictures for our research. Thanks and congratulations to all of you!
